Great brunch spot for the girlies! It's sunny, minimalist, and a bit wabi-sabi decor wise. There was no wait for walk-ins around 10:30-11 on Saturday. There's indoor and outdoor/sunroom seating. Server was quick with drinks, food, and refilling water but we didn't feel rushed. Lavender matcha latte was delicious, maybe a bit sweet. It came with lavender buds on top. Breakfast bowl was yummy, I loved the poached eggs, avocado, and prosciutto. I was less into the whipped ricotta with edamame, it was kind of a weird combination. Don't forget to ask for a matchbook on your way out!
I love their SoHo location, so I was excited to finally come to their West Village spot! This location has ample seating with an upper and lower level. We were seated on the lower level, which I noticed wasn't as bright and a bit warmer than the upper level, but still comfortable nonetheless. I love that there are sweet, savory, and healthy options on the menu! I ordered the breakfast burrito, which was SO YUM, especially with the sauce! It's definitely a bit on the heavier/greasy side because of the hash browns and sausage inside, but worth the vice, especially if you're gonna walk off the meal afterwards anyway. (Would def order again tho) Their bathroom is quite tight, with 2-3 stalls and a small sink area. Staff is attentive and friendly + we were seated right away (unlike the SoHo location which always has a long wait). They also didn't rush my friend and I as we were eating, since there was tons of seating. Overall, would come back, as Ruby's is always a brunch go-to of mine!
Brussel sprouts & creamy chicken pasta were incredible! Also tried the Yuzu margarita and That Watermelon Drink, both of which were perfectly balanced. The restaurant itself is modern, yet cozy. Very clean. Server was fantastic!! She was so helpful and kind.
I would give Ruby's a 10/5 if I could. I will be dreaming of those ricotta hotcakes forever- they must be the best pancakes I've ever had. Extremely fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth chunks of ricotta, perfectly accompanied by lemon butter... to die for. The egg plate was solid too- expertly scrambled eggs, slightly buttery crispy toast and lemony spinach. The avo toast was delicious as well. Pina colada wasn't too strong, my mom called it "rejuvenating." Service was surprisingly quick, even though it was a rainy Saturday morning and the place was packed. Tables weren't too close together and the atmosphere was refreshingly simple yet welcoming. A thousand percent would return.
Little Ruby's is a restaurant that has indoor/outdoor seating and a super cool bar a floor below street level. This is a great spot to take a loved one on a date night, or a good friend to catch up. My favorite dish was the spicy vodka pasta. The sauce was to die for and the pasta was cooked a bit more well done than I'm used to. The chicken schnitzel was also delicious and had the perfect light breading on the outside with a slight crunch. The appetizers we ordered were so fresh and delicious. I haven't had whipped eggplant before and loved the light pita bread with the eggplant dip. Would definitely go back to Little Rubys.
Easily my favorite breakfast/brunch I have had in the city. The moment you walk in you know you are in for a good one. The aesthetics are wonderful with a naturally bright and warming feeling. The service was impeccable and everyone was extremely nice! Both the breakfast burrito and the B.L.A.T sandwich were INCREDIBLE. 100% think about this place frequently and defintely will come back soon!
This place seems to be always packed, at least tables by the window are. But got a table pretty quick on Sunday night. "It's not that busy on Sundays," said the host. Cute place, chill ambiance.. Good service. Food's pretty good as well, Not awesome, but I will come back maybe for brunch. Eggplant dip apps was great, but my spicy sausage pasta was just alright.
Yummy food and a cool vibe! A nice date night spot. LOCATION/SERVICE: Made a reservation and noted it was our anniversary, and were greeted right away! The nice servers also gave us a glass of champagne to go along with our meal so that was super nice. The hostess and the waitress were both super friendly, so the experience was great. The restaurant seems a bit small from the outside, but there's actually quite a bit of seating inside. The seats are a bit close to each other, but not too close to be uncomfortable - cozy rather. FOOD: YUM! At the end of our meal we asked our waitress what made the cuisine Australian... still not too sure, but everything was really good! The only note was that my boyfriend was aware of some type of gaminess on the burger meat that I didn't notice. The star of the meal for me was the schnitzel and brown butter sauce - I ate it with everything else. The mashed potatoes were also extremely smooth and buttery. If this is Australian food, I'm down for some more! Glad we celebrated our anniversary here, and would definitely do date night here again.
Little Ruby's such a solid casual lunch/dinner spot. I've been to two different locations -- East and West Village and the vibes for both are great. It's just casual enough where you could bring a large group, but elevated enough so it could be a cute date spot. The food choices are also plenty -- burgers, pasta, salads, and bowls. The Bronte burger is a must try for all those who come here! It's juicy, flavorful, well cooked, with a great ciabatta roll to replace the bun. The sweet potatoes were extra, but honestly they were great as well. The portion sizes will make you full -- one dish per person is enough to put you in a food coma. I might be the only person to say that I wish there were more greens in the chicken avocado salad haha. Service is also pretty attentive. It's a popular place so would definitely recommend a resy or come just a bit early before the dinner rush to snag a table. My partner and I were able to get a table for 2 on a Monday around 7pm with just a 10 min wait.
